Operator: Inkal OÜ
Postal address: Keemia 11, Tallinn, Estonia
1. Agreement and operator
By creating an account, downloading or using the app, or otherwise accessing the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
ScriptureHub is operated by Inkal OÜ, Keemia 11, Tallinn, Estonia. Contract and service questions may be sent to support@scripturehub.cc or by post to that address.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian where required by applicable law, and that person should review these Terms with you.
You must provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by our breach or otherwise provided by mandatory law. Accounts may not be sold or transferred.
3. Limited right to use the service
Subject to these Terms, ScriptureHub grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app and access the website for lawful, non-commercial personal use. No ownership right is transferred. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of notes, prayers, highlights, and other content you create. You grant ScriptureHub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, transmit, back up, format, and otherwise process that content only to operate, secure, support, and improve the features you request. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backups, legal retention, and content already lawfully shared at your direction.
You are responsible for your content and must have the rights and lawful basis needed to submit it. Do not include another person’s private or sensitive information without authority.
5. Acceptable use
You must not violate law or another person’s rights; upload unlawful, abusive, infringing, or malicious material; attempt unauthorised access; probe or circumvent security; reverse engineer except where law expressly permits; interfere with service operation; automate access in a way that burdens the service; impersonate another person; or use the service to distribute spam or malware.
We may investigate suspected misuse and restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or preserve the service. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy.
6. Bible content, licences, and intellectual property
Bible translations, study materials, datasets, fonts, images, and open-source software may be governed by separate licences and attribution requirements. Availability may differ by language, territory, platform, and version. Required notices are displayed in the app or on the Attributions page.
ScriptureHub names, logos, product design, original text, and software are protected by intellectual-property law. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners and do not imply endorsement.
7. App stores and future paid features
Your download and use may also be subject to Google Play terms. Google is not responsible for providing ScriptureHub support except as required by its own terms or applicable law.
The current public service does not advertise an active paid subscription. If paid features are introduced, the price, billing period, automatic-renewal terms, cancellation method, trial conditions, and statutory rights will be shown before purchase. Store billing rules and mandatory Estonian and EU consumer law will apply. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights relating to digital content or services.
8. Service changes, updates, and availability
We may maintain, update, add, remove, or discontinue features for security, legal, licensing, technical, or product reasons. We will provide legally required updates and reasonable notice of a material adverse change where required. Some features require internet access; local or cached content may be lost if you clear app data, replace a device without synchronising, or uninstall the app.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability, but we will provide the service with the care and conformity required by applicable consumer law.
9. Safety and professional-services disclaimer
ScriptureHub is a Bible study and reflection tool. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, emergency, safeguarding, or professional pastoral services. Do not rely on it in an emergency or as a substitute for qualified care. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate professional.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScriptureHub is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or loss caused by third-party content, connectivity, device failure, unauthorised account use outside our control, or use contrary to these Terms.
Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, breach of mandatory consumer rights, or breach of applicable data-protection duties. Any other liability is limited only to the extent a limitation is fair and enforceable under Estonian and applicable EU law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, a security risk, legal requirement, or discontinuation of the service. We will use proportionate measures and provide notice where reasonably possible and legally permitted.
Provisions concerning intellectual property, accrued payment obligations, liability, disputes, and any terms that by nature should survive will continue after termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without prejudice to mandatory protections under the law of an EU consumer’s habitual residence. Courts have jurisdiction as determined by applicable Estonian and EU law; these Terms do not require a consumer to bring a claim only in Estonia where mandatory law provides otherwise.
Please first send a written complaint to support@scripturehub.cc. We will seek to respond within 15 days. An eligible Estonia-resident consumer dealing with an Estonia-registered trader may apply to the Consumer Disputes Committee; cross-border EU consumers may contact their local European Consumer Centre. You retain the right to bring proceedings before a competent court.
13. General provisions
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be applied to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may assign this agreement as part of a reorganisation or transfer of the service, provided your mandatory rights are not reduced. You may not assign it without our consent except where law permits. The English version is the authoritative version; any translation is provided for convenience.
